RV Roof Protection Warranty Information
When you choose a certified applicator from our network, you’re not just getting a roof coating — you’re getting a comprehensive warranty package that protects your investment for life. Here’s exactly what’s covered, what isn’t, and how to make a claim if you ever need to.
✅ What’s Covered — Manufacturer Product Warranty
- Material defects in the polyurea coating system itself
- Delamination or adhesion failure when proper primer and prep protocols were followed
- UV coating degradation or significant yellowing beyond expected range
- Coating cracking or brittleness not caused by mechanical damage
Coverage period: Lifetime (transferable to new owner upon RV sale — see transfer terms below)
✅ What’s Covered — Applicator Workmanship Warranty
- Application errors, including inadequate coverage thickness
- Missed penetration sealing points identified within 12 months of application
- Bubbling or surface defects caused by application technique issues
Coverage period: 2 years from application date (standard for all certified applicators; some offer extended workmanship coverage — confirm with your specific applicator)
⚠️ What’s Not Covered
- Mechanical damage (punctures, cuts, or impacts from falling objects, foot traffic damage, or tools)
- Damage resulting from structural failure of the RV roof deck itself
- Damage caused by chemical contamination after application
- Normal wear to UV topcoat beyond published service life (topcoat can be refreshed without full reapplication)
- Damage resulting from modifications to the roof after coating without applicator consultation
Warranty Registration
Every certified applicator is required to complete warranty documentation at the time of application. This includes:
- Before and after photos of the complete roof surface
- Product batch numbers and application date
- Surface preparation documentation
- Client contact information for warranty transfer tracking
Keep a copy of your warranty certificate with your RV’s ownership documents. If your applicator doesn’t provide warranty documentation, contact us through our contact page immediately — all certified applicators are required to provide this.
Making a Warranty Claim
- Document the issue — Photograph the affected area clearly, noting the location on the roof relative to identified landmarks (vents, seams, AC units)
- Contact your applicator first — Most workmanship issues are resolved directly between the owner and the applicator within 1–2 business days
- Contact our network support — If you can’t reach your original applicator or the issue may be product-related rather than workmanship-related, contact us with your warranty documentation and we’ll coordinate the claim process
Warranty Transfer on RV Sale
The manufacturer product warranty is transferable to a new owner. To transfer, notify us through the contact page with the original warranty number, new owner contact information, and the date of sale. There is no fee for warranty transfer within 10 years of original application. Transfers after 10 years require a brief phone verification call.
A Note on Non-Certified Applications
Only applications completed by applicators who were certified members of our network at the time of application are backed by our certification guarantee. Polyurea applications performed by non-certified contractors — regardless of product used — are not eligible for our network warranty support. This is one of the primary reasons we strongly recommend using our applicator directory.
