Our May 2026 Virtual Community Summit brought together 847 registered attendees across three time zones for a five-hour program covering everything from seasonal maintenance protocols to a deep dive on a new substrate primer formulation. Here are the key takeaways for members who couldn’t attend live — and a preview of what’s coming in our July Summit.
Session 1: Panel Discussion — “The Mistakes We See Most Often”
Four of our senior certified applicators participated in a frank discussion about the most common mistakes they encounter. The consensus top three: (1) Owners using incompatible products from big-box hardware stores before calling a professional, making substrate prep significantly harder; (2) Delaying the call until active interior damage has occurred, adding $1,500–$4,000 to the job cost; (3) Getting quotes from uncertified applicators, accepting the lowest price, and calling us after a substandard job fails within 18 months.
Session 2: New Member Q&A
This hour-long session was facilitated by two of our most experienced community members — Brian K. from Oklahoma and Theresa M. from Virginia — who answered 60+ questions from new members. The full Q&A transcript is available in the member portal. The most-upvoted question: “Is there ever a case where a roof is too far gone for coating?” (Answer: rarely, but yes — when decking has rotted through, structural repair must precede coating.)
Session 3: Applicator Business Development Workshop
This session was specifically for members who are or are considering becoming certified applicators. Topics included pricing strategies for competitive markets, marketing to RV parks and campgrounds, and building recurring maintenance contracts with RV fleets and rental companies.
Coming Up: July 2026 Summit
