Step 1: Initial Assessment
Candidates begin with a baseline assessment of their existing skills and business situation. Step 2: Technical Training
The core training program covers: polyurea chemistry and properties, substrate preparation (the most critical and most often skipped step), equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance, application technique, quality control and inspection, warranty documentation, and customer communication. Training includes both classroom instruction and hands-on application on representative substrates.
Step 3: Supervised Field Application
Before certification is granted, each candidate completes a minimum number of supervised applications on actual RV roofs. A senior certified applicator observes, evaluates, and provides feedback. This practical component ensures the training translates to real-world competence.
Step 4: Certification and Ongoing Support
Certified applicators receive a listing in our national directory, access to our applicator community (separate channel from our member community), co-branded marketing materials, and ongoing technical support. Recertification is required every 3 years to ensure applicators stay current with product updates and best practices.
